This is the Grade 12 Vectors and Calculus Course.
We are currently using the Addison-Wesley Geometry and Discrete textbook for the vectors section of the course and the Harcourt Advanced Functions and Introductory Calculus textbook for the calculus section.
Students will study representing vectors in 2D and 3D, representing lines and planes, rates of change, derivative rules and applications, optimization, and curve sketching.
They complete a 10% Vectors exam in class at the end of the three vectors units and a 15% Calculus exam at the end of the semester. 5% additional summative work will be completed and the assignment style is TBD.
More information can be found in the course overview (located on the sidebar of the Central main page).
Please note that the only calculators allowed during tests and exams are Scientific Calculators - do not get in the habit of using a cell phone or tablet as a calculator!
